Genoa Strings bridges the neoclassical, cinematic, and meditative realms. Violinist Genevieve Walker and cellist Noah Hoffeld met while performing with world-renowned sacred music artist Krishna Das, where a deep musical connection took root.
Blending composed pieces with improvisation as they do with Krishna Das, their music moves between structure and spontaneity, intimacy and atmosphere—touching on ambient, drone and modern classical soundscapes. Each also brings a rich background of solo work and contemplative practice.
At the core of Genoa Strings is a shared intention: to soothe and awaken the hearts of listeners.
